I don't quite understand where the thought to work with quality originally came, but it happened long time ago. It has led my journey in quality through automation, metal industry, software and now over 10 years with mostly protection relays. Every step of the way, every year and organization has given me possibility to learn more.

Sometimes you stop to think that what if I would have known all that I know now in my first or second job. Sweet thought, but we all need to learn step by step. Continuous learning is a reward itself and it sticks to you as a habit.
 

The big seacret for me in quality and development has been the "spirit". To really find the passion to ensure the continuous improvement, that products and processes really improve all the time and to understand deeper the quality systems. It means co-operation, real targets and yearn for better. It neads much more than some instructions as all the change is dependent of the change in people.

Anyway, you don't need to know all the quality tools and methods yourself to get huge results. Less is more, if work is done systematically. That may be in the core of the coming blogs and writings. I love Lean, FMEA's and lot of other methods, but still we need people who simply are ready to progress together. Organizations are not the same, but very practical work takes us far.

​

Buy the way, you cannot escape the drawings - illustrations, when you come to this site. The pencil just jumps to my hand when ever thinking of some idea. It's good to not take yourself too seriously. Then you can for example enjoy drawing at any age.
